Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started with a Fromsupply product (like Chim Code)?

Getting started is simple! After clicking "Get" on the homepage for the product you want, you'll be directed to its application page (e.g., `chimcode.html`). If it's your first time using that specific product, follow any on-screen prompts to initialize or set it up. The core functionality should be available immediately.

What is included in the "fs Membership"?

The fs Membership provides monthly access to premium features across all Fromsupply products you've 'gotten'. This includes advanced analytics in Chim Code, personalized training modules in Chim Type, exclusive environments in Chim Maze, priority support in Chim Clinic, and more. It's the best way to experience the full power of Fromsupply.

Note: The "Upgrade ?" purchase is separate and covers major version updates and new feature bundles released periodically.

How does the "Cheat Code" (10k Reserves) work?

The "Cheat Code" is a one-time purchase that grants you 10,000 "Reserves" (our in-app currency, represented by stars ⭐️). Reserves can be used for various actions within the applications, such as running complex simulations, unlocking specific content, or accessing certain premium features on a pay-per-use basis if you don't have an active membership.

I found a bug or have a feature request. Where can I report it?

We appreciate your feedback! The best place to report bugs, suggest features, or discuss technical issues is our official GitHub repository.

Please check existing issues first to see if your topic is already being discussed. If not, feel free to open a new issue with detailed information.

You can find the repository here: Fromsupply GitHub Issues.

What happens when I click "Get" vs "Open"?

Clicking "Get" for the first time on a product card signifies your initial acquisition of the base product. This changes the button to "Open" and may unlock related purchase options (like the 'Max' version) in the star dropdown.

Clicking "Open" (or the card itself after it shows "Open") navigates you to that specific product's application page (e.g., `chimcode.html`).

How do product updates work? Do I need to pay again?

Minor updates and bug fixes within the current major version (e.g., v0.5.x) are generally included for free for anyone who has 'gotten' the product or has an active membership.

Major version upgrades (e.g., moving from v0.x to v1.x) that introduce significant new features or architectural changes may be included in the "Upgrade ?" bundle, which is a separate purchase available to users who have purchased at least one 'Max' product previously.

Do I need an account to use Fromsupply products?

Currently, basic access to the core features after clicking "Get" does not require a mandatory account signup. However, features like purchasing memberships, reserves, tracking progress across sessions, or participating in Chim Team might require you to sign in (e.g., via Google).

We utilize local storage in your browser to remember which products you've 'gotten' and basic state information for anonymous use.

What are the system requirements for Fromsupply tools?

Fromsupply products are web-based and designed to run in modern web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop computers. Performance may vary depending on your computer's specifications, especially for more demanding tools like Chim Maze or complex Chim Code simulations.

A stable internet connection is recommended for optimal performance and for accessing features that require server communication.

Can I use Fromsupply products on mobile devices?

While the website itself is responsive, the core applications (Chim Code, Type, Maze, etc.) are primarily designed and optimized for desktop use due to the complexity of their interfaces and interactions (e.g., keyboard input, detailed visuals). Some features might work on tablets, but mobile phone usage is generally not recommended or fully supported for the main tools at this time.

What is "Chim Team" and how does it work?

Chim Team provides a platform for collaborative, risk-free challenges and exercises. Teams can work together on simulated projects, debugging scenarios, or competitive tasks designed to improve teamwork and technical skills without impacting real-world systems. Access typically requires team members to sign in and join a specific team instance.

Is my data safe with Fromsupply?

We take data privacy seriously. For anonymous usage, data like which products you've 'gotten' is stored locally in your browser. If you sign in (e.g., via Google), we handle your account information according to standard privacy practices. Specific data generated within tools (like code snippets in Chim Code or typing stats in Chim Type) might be processed to provide the service but are handled with security in mind. For detailed information, please refer to our (future) Privacy Policy.

What happens if a product video isn't loading?

The videos on the product cards and the background video are hosted externally (e.g., YouTube via a proxy). If a video fails to load, you might see a "Video Unavailable" placeholder. This could be due to network issues, browser settings (like ad blockers or privacy extensions), or temporary problems with the video hosting service.

The core functionality of the product (accessed via the "Get"/"Open" button) is independent of the video preview and should still work.

How do I manage or cancel my "fs Membership"?

Membership management, including viewing history, cancellation, and refund requests, is handled through our Billing page. You'll need to be signed in to access your specific billing details.
